Vedic Science Research Centre in collaboration with Ananya, an organization for youth empowerment is conducting free tuition classes for underprivileged children, mostly hailing from slums in Chennai. The objective of this project is to transform the lives of the underprivileged children through quality education and spiritual upliftment. Apart from academic education, spiritual and cultural classes are being conducted once a week to realize the objective.
Most of our centres function in temple premises and teachers are recruited from the local community. In some centres, professionals and educated people volunteer to assist the teachers. Corporation schools in the vicinity of the tuition centres send the most underperforming students to our centres and we are able to enhance their performance thereby reducing school dropout rate in underprivileged area.
